- What is dealcoholized wine?
- Real wine, made the conventional way, with grapes grown, pressed and fermented, then the alcohol removed afterwards. Ours is dealcoholized by vacuum distillation, the method invented in Germany in 1908, which removes alcohol at around 30°C so the aromatics survive. It tastes like wine because it was wine first.
- How much alcohol is in it?
- Less than 0.05% alc./vol. That’s not zero, and we won’t tell you it is. For proportion: a standard glass of wine is 12–14%. Trace alcohol also occurs naturally in foods like ripe bananas, rye bread and some fruit juices. More on the numbers →
- Is it alcohol-free?
- At less than 0.05% alc./vol., our wines fall within Canada’s threshold for "alcohol-free" and "non-alcoholic." We describe them as dealcoholized wine, because that’s exactly what they are: real wine, fermented the conventional way, with the alcohol removed afterwards. We’d rather give you the number than a label.
- Can I drink this if I’m avoiding alcohol completely?
- That depends on why, and it’s your call rather than ours.
If you’re in recovery, opinion is genuinely divided. Some people find these products useful, others find the taste and ritual act as a trigger, and many treatment professionals advise against them. Please make that decision with someone qualified.
If you avoid alcohol for religious reasons, 0.05% may or may not fall within your practice. Guidance varies between traditions and between authorities within them. We give you the number so you can ask the right question of the right person. - Is it safe during pregnancy?
- Our labels carry the standard advisory that pregnant women should not consume alcohol. These products contain less than 0.05% alc./vol. Please speak with your healthcare provider; we’re not qualified to advise.
- What’s in it?
- Dealcoholized wine (grapes, concentrated grape must), carbonic acid, preservative E242, and sulphites. Both wines contain sulphites. Full ingredients are on each product page.
- Where do you ship?

- How should I store and serve it?
- Cool and dark before opening. Serve both well chilled, 6–8°C, colder than you might expect, because without alcohol carrying the aroma, a warm pour tastes muted. Refrigerate after opening and drink within 3–5 days.
